The description of pocket chess is correct, as it fits nicely in a jacket . However the construction is probably best described of pressed card, with the pieces easily falling out of the holes – a neat little collectable and nice to have since I have a spare case as this was purchased from the likable eBay seller Sooty, the board playing area being about 4.5 x 4.5 inches oops not cms error corrected.
Why are there so few out there?
