This rather scarce set dating from 1891 features the ‘Cavalier Royal Knight’ with very sharp finish – it is remarkable that the plastic is in such good condition after 100 years! It is difficult when trying to estimate the number of surviving sets. I know of 4 collectors who own examples of all Xynolite turned chessmen – I won this at auction on ebay in 2005.
