Weighted plastic chess set with board c.1950’s

This charming set was sold on ebay as ‘bakelite’ but 30 seconds of study suggested otherwise to me – the set was made by the Oralite Company of Thornton, Blackpool. The firm ceased trading in 1967. A seller on ebay offered a similar but not identical set with the company information stamped on the box.
