Miniature bone chess set & board

This miniature damaged set was purchased on E bay some years ago – similar pieces are mentioned in the CCI publication ‘miniature chess sets’.  The delightful small inlaid board comes with miniature ivory draughts pieces. When I purchased this part set I decided to have a go in re-assembling  these tiny pieces; just having these imperfect items is a lot of fun having such tiny chessmen for collectors interested in such sets,

The publication ‘miniature chess sets’, written by Ulrich Schadler and Thomas H Thomsen, was produced for CCI members and is a useful guide for the less well informed on these sets like myself – trying to tell bone from Ivory is none too easy!
