Early 19th Century English Pattern Chess Set

An antique English Pattern set that I believe may well be early 19th century. The maker is unknown, and with an 8 cms King, it is unusual to me as I have not seen another set like it. Making up a possible makér won’t ever do for me. The wood type I am unsure of ?? The box pictured is unlikely to be the original thus I am not being offered

any clue as to who made this set. I was given the opportunity to view and purchase this delightful item by a seller well-known to Ebay chess collectors. When such offerings appear on my menu I will, when possible, purchase them, as there is no frustrating auction waiting, no bidding war, and no buyer protection fee necessary as the seller is as trustworthy as saint – taking

into account my past dealings with him, he fully deserves such a title!
