This delightful cast metal set was purchased from an ‘Angell’ after viewing his item on the internet. I informed the esteemed gentleman of my interest, and upon his invitation I made as good an offer as I felt was tempting. The negotiation was quick, amicable, and it was sold as a vintage set from Nepal. I have a few metal sets in my collection but this cute baby is adorable, the tallest piece being the kangaroo at 4 cms with cute monkey and bunny pawns, neat looking elephants and horses, and big cats as the royal pieces. Having viewed thousands of chess sets over the years, I cannot ever recall seeing a similar looking set before. With these fun sets the owner can choose which beasts can be from pawn to king with the fun being mating with a monkey! There is always room for such sets in my collection, and having ladies in my life who like such charming sets is a huge bonus.
